Race Director, Jon Ross, has been tirelessly driving the course to finalize running routes in anticipation of a great inaugural Southern Odyssey Relay.  In his travels, he's constantly looking for ways to improve upon what we have so far.  We will be finalizing the course as soon as possible, likely by mid-August.  We know you are assigning legs and these changes may cause those assignments to not work, so please be patient and hold off for a bit.  We share your excitement about the SOR and this process will become easier in succeeding years.  We want to get it right, so thanks for understanding!

We RUN WHERE THE LOCALS RUN! That also means that safety is our first priority!

This course starts in Athens, home of the Georgia Bulldogs…so plan to arrive early to experience this gem of a city. Runners will then wind through beautiful countryside and many charming southern towns. The second half of our course will weave runners through a variety of quaint neighborhoods which pepper the way as the population expands toward the journeys end in the very charming suburb of Atlanta known as Historic Roswell. Teams will finish near picturesque Riverside Park along the Chattahoochee River. This course is something to experience for locals and visitors alike. And for those of you who will be visiting…you and your cheering section will see many areas of Georgia you will want to experience after the race!
