Relay Handbooks will be posted in Sept. Team captains will have ample time to review the handbook and disseminate all information to his/her team.

Start Time Specifics

Team starting times will not be announced until registration is officially closed.

For a general idea, calculate the average per mile pace of your team based upon each participant's 10k time. Compare those results with this chart.

Keep in mind, start times are assigned to enable a smooth flow of teams across the entire relay route and to make certain we have volunteers in all transitions. It's really important that you provide an accurate predicted pace to avoid the necessity of us holding you at a transition.

Check List

• Designate a co-captain; it is recommended one for each van.
• Register your team.
• Prepare an email list and communicate team updates weekly; it is recommended you do so on the same day each week.
• Recruit alternate runners in the event of an emergency.
• Arrange for your team vehicles (refer to our Travel Information page for any applicable discounts).
• Read the Relay Handbook.
• Pack necessary supplies (refer to our Equipment Needs page).
• Arrange for lodging if necessary.
• Assign legs and submit runners in order on the team roster.
• Remind volunteers to sign in and fulfill their 4 - 6 hour shifts.
• Arrive at the Start one half hour before assigned start time.
